What strains are involved in your cross? I have generated a custom Illumina chip (1536 SNPs) for a 'medium' density panel for mapping in crosses. Happy to discuss it offline to see if it might fit your needs.

Subject: [rat-forum] genome-wide genotyping in rats
What is the current best way to do genome-wide genotyping in rats? Is there a SNP chip that can be used for mapping in a backcross collection?
